The ugly spectre of corruption has followed Football Association of Zambia president Kalusha Bwalya on his campaign trail with councillors in Choma demanding that he gives them a status on the investigations by the Anti Corruption Commission.
Bwalya, who is on a campaign trail pushing for a third term at the helm of FAZ, was asked whether it was true there corruption allegations against him to which he struggled to hold his cool as he evaded the question.
He said that some people were just throwing mud at him to smear his name.
Bwalya said he was constrained from commenting on the matter as it was under the law enforcement agencies.
The ACC has opened investigations against Bwalya on accusations raised by former FAZ treasurer Kelvin Mutafu over ticketing dealings and other FAZ transactions.
Bwalya was also pushed to the corner over his personal contributions to the game at the Choma Hotel gathering.
FAZ will hold elections on March 19 at Moba Hotel in Kitwe with Bwalya being challenged by businessman Andrew Kamanga and Henschel Chitembeya.
