The Ministry of Health has recorded 62 cholera cases this year with Kanyama Township accounting for 48 while Chibombo recorded 14.
And the Ministry of Local Government and Housing has banned the selling of foodstuffs on the streets of Lusaka until the cholera threat is thwarted.
During a media briefing Health Minister Dr Joseph Kasonde said no death had been recorded so far.
Dr Kasonde said they were monitoring the situation very closely.
Local government deputy minister Nicholas Banda said there would be no sale of foodstuffs on the streets of Lusaka until cholera was arrested.
