United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema says targeted attacks on him by the Patriotic Front (PF) shows how worried they are of being removed from power in 2016.
Reacting to PF Secretary General Davies Chama who has challenged him to hold a party convention, Hichilema says instead of attacking him, the PF should consider dealing with the economic challenges the country is facing.
Hichilema Chama and the ruling party should consider apologizing to the people of Zambia who he says they have been hurting with their failure to do what the people expect of them.
He adds that Chama is uncomfortable after realizing that the UPND is gaining ground and recruiting more new members.
The UPND leader states that Chama has no authority whatsoever to challenge him to go to the convention.
