Kasama Police Nab 2 Student Teachers for Break-ins

Police in Kasama, Northern Province have arrest two third-year students at Northern College for various offences.

Northern Province Commissioner of Police Richard Mweene said the two suspects were third-year student teachers at Northern College in Kasama.

He said the two have been arrested in connection with the recent break-ins in various schools in the province.

Mweene has identified the suspects as Wisdom Mwamba, 21, of Mulenga Hills and Cosmas Chisha, 23, of Musenga Township who allegedly stole various office equipment worth One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Kwacha.

He said police have since recovered property among them a desktop and laptop computers, printers and a photocopying machine.

Mweene expressed disappointment that students would engage in such vices.
