Bwalya-MonzePatriotic Front (PF) Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya says United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema is not his enemy despite allegedly setting a horde of violence on him at a funeral.

Bwalya says he has unreservedly forgiven Hichilema and UPND cadres who attacked him when he attended the funeral of his close family relative in Southern Province recently.

He was speaking at a rally in Monze District, almost a hundred days before the Thursday 11th August 2016 Presidential, Parliamentary, Local Government poll which includes a Referendum Vote, as indicated by Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Chairperson, Justice Essau Chulu and Director of Elections Ms. Priscilla Isaacs.

Bwalya explained that as a person with roots in the Southern Province, Hichilema is a relative, deserving respect despite existing political differences.

Bwalya, a former Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia Chapter Chairperson, said the fact that as a Zambian citizen he does not belong to UPND does not mean that he is a sworn political enemy of Hichilema.
