Forum for Democracy and Development president Edith Nawakwi has continued prancing about her being the front runner ahead of the August 11 general elections.
Nawakwi said that as far as she was concerned she was the one favoured by the masses to take over the leadership of the country during the elections.
She said that other political parties like the ruling Patriotic Front and the opposition United Party for National Development have been tainted by recurring incidences of violence.
Nawakwi said her party had been quietly engaging the electorates away from the hype and publicity of political engineering.
“As things stand I am the front runner in this year’s elections because we have had a clear message for our people,” she said.
The FDD leader is quietly lobbying for a running mate position under President Edgar Lungu who has made it clear that he will only adopt a woman as his running mate.
