Former Movement for Multi Party Democracy secretary general Muhabi Lungu says he can never take party president Nevers Mumba’s call for reconciliation seriously as the call is founded on dishonest.
Mumba has of late sprung out of his self imposed political cocoon to scatter bullets at his political adversaries after his plea for a job as an ambassador from President Edgar Lungu flopped.
Lungu, who was hounded out of position in MMD by Mumba in the heat of deciding who should contest the January 20 presidential elections on the MMD ticket, said Mumba was not worth dignifying with a response.
“Nothing of what Dr Mumba says is what it is. He does not tell the truth and so I have learnt not to take him seriously,” Lungu said.
“There is a lot of dishonest in what he says but posterity will judge all of us.”
The MMD is on the downhill with their Members of Parliament leaning either on the
ruling Patriotic Front or the opposition United Party for National Development.
The party managed less than 15, 000 in the January, 20 elections.
